As owner and operator of Crystal Lake Publishing, I am very proud to
announce our very first horror anthology, For the Night is Dark.

A few months ago I contacted the very talented artist, Ben Baldwin,
about a cover for the book. I already had an image in my head of what I wanted
and, having worked with Ben before, I knew he’d be able to bring it to life. I
also knew I’d be able to use the cover to lure in a few writers.
Although Crystal Lake Publishing doesn’t accept submissions, we choose
our writers carefully. Being a writer myself, I just don’t have to time to read
submissions. I do, however, have the time to read great stories and contact the
writers. If you’re talented, we will find you. Writers, editors and artists are
however encouraged to submit bio’s and links to their published works.
Crystal Lake Publishing is a paying market, but hopefully after a few
more anthologies we can even become a pro-rate market.
Here are the amazing writers who will be contributing to the anthology: Gary McMahon, William Meikle, Jasper Bark, Jeremy C.
Shipp, Stephen Bacon, Armand Rosamilia, Tracie Mcbride, Robert Walker, Tonia
Brown, G.n. Braun, Mark West, John Claude Smith, Blaze McRob, Ben Jones, Kevin
Lucia, Daniel I Russell, Ray Cluley, Scott Nicholson and myself.
I’d also like to thank all the writers who submitted biographies and
showed interest in the anthology. We will keep your name on record for future
projects. Feel free to send us updates every now and then. And don’t forget to
buy a copy for a . . . let’s call it research or inspiration.
For the Night is Dark will be edited by the extremely gifted Ross
Warren, and release is scheduled for April 2013. Please support this anthology
and the writers included. After reading the first submission already, I can
assure you this will be one of the finest collections of 2013.
